Table Charm Direct, a member of the Direct Selling Association of South Africa (DSA) and owned by the Bounty Brands Group is a leading African multi-level marketing company specialising in tableware, personal care, cosmetics, fragrances, fashion wear and health products.
Since 2020, Kohde has supported Table Charm Direct as a strategic IT partner, focusing on stabilising and enhancing their software ecosystem. This involved cataloguing and documenting their software assets, improving quality, addressing end-user support requests, refactoring existing software to eliminate security vulnerabilities, and reengineering the core structure of Table Charm’s genealogy and rebate calculation systems.

The Challenge_

As part of Table Charm Direct’s digital transformation journey, they faced a challenge where their IT systems could no longer keep up with the increasing demands of business growth. The complexity of genealogy management, rebate calculations, and the integration of this information into multiple operational systems necessitated a complete overhaul of ineffective system approaches. A phased implementation strategy was required to address these challenges effectively.

The Solution_

Kohde was tasked with creating a robust digital ecosystem to seamlessly integrate the new genealogy management system and multi-tiered rebate calculation engine with legacy systems, ERP, and the e-commerce platform. Furthermore, the new multi-tenant platform was designed for deployment across multiple countries, including Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and South Africa.
To enhance accessibility and usability in diverse work environments, a native Android application was developed, ensuring field users could easily navigate the platform with flexibility and efficiency. Kohde developed an integrated platform enabling the business to incorporate additional incentive schemes, such as funeral cover, lay-by services, and loans. The platform allows members to track performance, recruit new members, view their network, and monitor sales and earnings, empowering them to grow their businesses effectively.

A seamless digital ecosystem integrated with Syspro ERP, enabling a digital bulk order placement facility for depot replenishments. This transformation improves customer satisfaction by enhancing digital transaction capabilities and providing a clear, comprehensive view of genealogy growth. The system also offers actionable insights into rebate payment outcomes, empowering Table Charm to manage their operations with greater efficiency and precision.
